TOKYO - Kosuke Kitajima set a new Asian record at Japan national championshps at the Tatsumi International Pool in Tokyo.
He swam the 100 metres breaststroke in a time of 58.90 ahead of Ryo Tateishi in 59.60, second best in the world so far this year and good enough for a ticket to London 2012.
