SHANGHAI - It was Federica Pellegrini's second title in Shanghai, following the 22-year-old's 400m freestyle victory on Sunday.

Pellegrini was third at the final turn but burst through to touch home in 1:55.58, 0.46 secs ahead of Kylie Palmer of Australia. France's Camille Muffat was third in 1:56.10.

Pellegrini described her victory as a goal saying: "I must believe up to the end of the race." and adding that could skip the 800m free: "I am in holiday with individual events. I am thinking just to the relays now."
