Australia's top swimming coaches (ASCTA) are lobbying their national federation to put forward a proposal at the meeting of Pan Pacific charter nations this week to have China banned from next years Pan Pacific Swimming Championships in Sydney.

ASCTA is calling for an independent investigation into allegations of widespread drug use by Chinese swimmers.

China was banned from competing in the 1995 Pan Pacs in Atlanta after Australia, Canada and the U.S. voted to have them excluded from the competition at the time.
