Spyridon Gianniotis of Greece and Brazilian Poliana Okimoto won the 10km at the World Championships in Barcelona.
Gianniotis, won the race in 1h49:11.8 ahead of Germany's Thomas Lurz (1h49:14.5) and the Olympic Champion for this event Oussama Mellouli of Tunisia (1h49:19.2).
Poliana Okimoto won the female contest in 1h58:19.2. Teammate Ana Marcela Cunha was second just 30-hundredths behind. Third was Angela Maurer of Germany (1h58:20.2).
