Irish Olympian Melanie Nocher retired Wednesday from competitive swimming, ending a successful 10-year career with the national team.
"It is now time to move onto the new chapter in my life. I can walk away happy being a double olympian and bronze european medallist," she said.
Nocher, 24, competed at the 2008 and 2012 Olympics, meanwhile she got a bronze at the 2011 short-course Europeans in Szczecin, Poland and during her career she also won six national titles.
