Hungary's Eva Risztov has won the 10km race at the Olympic Games in Serpentine lake

LONDON - Eva Risztov of Hungary has won the gold medal in the women's 10 kilometres marathon swim at the Olympics in London on Thursday.

The 27-year-old of Debreceni Sportcentrum Sportiskola, swam through the Serpentine lake in Hyde Park in one hour, 57 minutes 38.2 seconds, to edge Haley Anderson of USA by four-tenths of a second.

Italy's Martina Grimaldi placed third in 1h57:41.8.
