The 2012 short-course Japan Swim in Tokyo last weekend produced six national records. Two records fell to men and four to three women:
MEN:
- 1:43.83 200m freestyle Syunsuke Kuzuhara, 22, after a bets of 1:44.03 last year
- 57.20 100m breaststroke Ryo Tateishi, 22, after 57.43 last year
WOMEN:
- 24.84 50m freestyle Tomoko Hagiwara, 31, after 24.91
- 30.23 50m breaststroke Satomi Suzuki,20, after 30.99
- 1:04.11 100m breaststroke Satomi Suzuki, after 1:06.16
- 4:27.65 400m medley Miho Takahashi, 19 (no entry in world ranks in 2011)
