Rice undergoes surgery
Olympic champion Stephanie Rice has troubled Games preparation since she has undergone surgery to repair a tendon tear in her right shoulder. Rice was scheduled to swim at the Queensland State Championships last week.
The 23-year-old is aiming to defend both individual medley crown won in Beijing almost four years ago.

Ragnhild Hveger, a Danish Olympian in 1936 has died. She was 90.
She won the silver medal in the 400 metres freestyle at the 1936 Games in Berlin, hold 19 world marks and in 1966 she was inducted in the Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale.
