USA claims three of the four gold medals and three new Championships record were set on Thursday

LIMA - United States claimed three of the four gold medals on the third day of action at the world junior championships in Lima, Peru.

Three new championships mark were set on Thursday:

  • Evan Pinion, USA, men's 800 freestyle 7:55.92 (pr. 8:01.77, Herman Heerden, RSA, 10.07.2008)
  • Daryna Zevina, UKR, women's 200 backstroke 2:10.43 (pr. 2:11.45, Miyu Otsuka, JPN, 18.08.2011)
  • Lia Neal, USA, women's 100 freestyle 54.90 (pr. 55.18, Neal, 17.08.2011).
