Germany’s Hendrik Rijkens and Natalia Charlos of Poland won the final leg of the 2011 European Open Water Swimming Cup in Hoorn, Netherlands

Germany’s Hendrik Rijkens and Natalia Charlos of Poland won the final leg of the 2011 European Open Water Swimming Cup in Hoorn, Netherlands, on Saturday.

Rijkens crossed the finish line of the 10km+5km race in 2h59:39.97 (2h01:09.37+58:30.60) ahead of Tom Vangeneugden (BEL, 3h00:51.96 – 2h01:26.88+59:25.08) and Matthias Schweinzer (AUT, 3h04:07.32 – 2h04:37.78+59:29.54).

Charlos won the female contest in 3h09:06.06 (2h07:33.25+1h01:32.81). Svenja Zihsler, GER, was second (3h10:00.15 – 2h07:38.66+1h02:21.49) and Yurema Requena, ESP, third (3h10:29.33 – 2h07:36.25+1h02:53.08).
