Aniene wins Italian championships. LEN Cancels 3rd race of Marathon Swimming Cup. British swimmers selected for Worlds

Aniene wins Italian championships
ROME – Following the Seven Hills Trophy at Foro Italico in Rome, on Monday the Circolo Canottieri Aniene swim club has won the Italian championships for fifth straight year.

Aniene had great performances by both men’s and women’s event with Federica Pellegrini.

In the final team standing Aniene lead with 291.5 points; Aurelia was second with 219 and Larus third with 218.

LEN Cancels 3rd race of Marathon Swimming Cup
The third leg of the open water swimming LEN Cup, due to be held in Nettuno (Rome) on Sunday, has been cancelled due to bad weather condition.

The next race of the tournament will be held on July 9 in Kocaeli, Turkey (5km).

A squad of 40 of Britain's top swimmers have been selected to represent the country at the World Championships in Shanghai
