Rosolino to quit swimming in 2012
Italian swimming star Massimiliano Rosolino, 31, has confirmed he will quit the sport after the London Games next year.

Massi will remain in the swimming world as a manager of the Pescopagano swimming complex (Potenza province, in Basilicata area) which opened yesterday.

He didn’t mention any news over waterpolo future.

Sprint Legend Jager To Coach Cougars
Tom Jager, one of the greatest sprint freestylers in swimming history, is the new head coach at Washington State University.

Jager will move from the University of Idaho and replaces Erica Quam, who announced her retirement from collegiate coaching last month.

Slovakian swimmer fails drug test
Lubos Krizko has tested positive for the banned substance tamoxifen, it was announced yesterday. The 31-year-old Slovakian swimmer tested positive during the European championships in Budapest in August 2010, when he placed 6th in themen’s 50 metres backstroke.

Naoya Tomita will contests 50 and 100 metres breast at Japan Open swim meet (Osaka, May 20-22).
He does not intend to swim the 200 metres breaststroke despite he qualified for this event, beating two-time double Olympic gold medalist Kosuke Kitajima at the trials in April.

Andreas Waschburger and Poliana Okimoto win the 2nd race of the Fina 10km world cup in Cancun, Mexico.
