USA Swimming Team Roster, Peirsol calls time on glittering career, Drattsev and Fabian win 12km "La Patagones Viedma"

USA Swimming Team Roster
NCAA Champions Austin Surhoff (Cockeysville, Md.) and Tom Shields (Huntington Beach, Calif.) will headline a field of 47 swimmers that will represent Team USA at the 2011 World University Games in Shenzhen, China.

The swimming competition will take place August 14-19, while the Games will run from August 12-23.

Peirsol calls time on glittering career
American Olympic gold medallist Aaron Peirsol has announced his retirement from competitive swimming.

Peirsol, 27, leaves the pool after setting several records and winning awards, including seven Olympic medals (5 gold and 2 silver).

Currently holds world records for 100 and 200 metres backstroke.
