On january 28, 1966 a Lufthansa airplane crashed to the ground while landing in Bremen, Germany

ROME – On january 28, 1966 a Lufthansa airplane crashed to the ground while landing in Bremen, Germany.

In that accident dies 46 persons including 7 members of the Italian national team, their coach and a journalist who joined the team to attend the Bremen swim meet.

They are: RAI Television journalist Nico Sapio, Bruno Bianchi, Amedeo Chimisso, Sergio De Gregorio, Carmen Longo, Luciana Massenzi, Chiaffredo "Dino" Rora, Daniela Samuele and their coach Paolo Costoli.
