LAUSANNE – Ryan Lochte, of USA, and Therese Alshammar of Sweden were named male and female World Swimmers of the Year for 2010 by FINA.

Valerio Cleri of Italy and Brazilian Ana Marcela Cunha are the Open water swimmers of the year.

Other awards going to Russian Natalia Ishchenko in synchronized Swimming; diving: Patrick Hausding (GER) and Ruolin Chen (CHN); waterpolo: Vanja Udovicic (SRB) and Elizabeth Armstrong (USA).
