Rari Nantes Torino swim club won the 37th Nico Sapio Trophy in Genoa yesterday.
In the highlight of the meeting, France’ sensation Yannick Agnel (Olympic Nice Natation) won the 400 metres freestyle in 3:42:31, equalling the effort of world champion Paul Biedermann (GER) at the Berlin round of the world cup last weekend.
Camille Muffat, Agnel's training partner, swam the same event in 4:00.80 and set the best European performance of the year.

Femke Heemskerk set a new Competition record for the women’s 200m freestyle at the Fina World Cup in Berlin.
The Dutch swimmer won in 1:52.42, erasing the previous mark of 1:53.29 set by Lisbeth Trickett (AUS) in November 2005.

Canadians ill following Delhi Commonwealth Games
Swimming Canada has revealed that Annamay Pierse, world recoprd holder over 200m breaststroke, contracted dengue during the Games and is now down with fever and related symptoms. Another athlete went home with typhoid.
In a statement, Pierse said: "I am thankful for all the continued help offered from our medical team and I'm confident that I will recover quickly.

Swimming Brazil has suspended Daiane Becker de Oliveira after she tested positive to Stanozolol during the Trofeu Jose Finkel in Rio de Janeiro, on September.
Becker will serve a two-year ban from October 29 and has been dropped from the Team Roster for the shoer-course Worlds in Dubai in December.
