DELHI – A couple of competition record were set at the Commonwealth Games in Delhi on Tuesday.
In the men’s 100 metres breaststroke Glenn Snyders of New Zealand set a new record touching in 1:00.55 in the first semi-final.
Five minutes later Australian Christian Sprenger clocked 1:00.45, with South African Roland van Der Burgh also under the previous mark in 1:00.52.
England's Liam Tancock won gold in in the men's 50m backstroke with a new record time of 24.62 seconds.
