Olympic champion Laure Manaudou has shot down reports that she will make a comeback to the sport in time for the 2011 Worlds championships.

Manaudou, 24 , retired in September 2009 and gave birth to a baby girl in April The swimmer released a statement today in which she denied reports that she was eyeing the 2011 world championships in Shanghai.

Moreover she won’t be eligible to race in China: she would have needed to be available for out of competition anti-doping tests for a year before the event.
