BUDAPEST - Azerbaijan swimmers Andrey Ilin and Yevgeniy Lazuka, has been excluded from the European Swimming Championships in Budapest with immediate effect due to the fact that they competed in international events representing Belarus less than 12 months ago.

The aticipated competition violated FINA General Rule 2.6 in cases of changes of affiliation from one national governing body to another.

Ilin, 21, entered the 50 and 100 metres freestyle while Lazuka, 21, contested the men's 50m butterfly semi-finals, finishing at 14th place in 24.28. This result will be cancelled.
