Hungary dominate the 4th day winning three gold medals. France continue to set the pace with victory in the men's 50 backstroke

A couple of new Championships records were set on thursday night.

World champion Lotte Friis of Denmark dominated her pet event, the women's 800 metres freestyle and won the title in 8:23.27.

"I am satisfied since I was as fast as when I won the Olympic bronze in Beijing and with the textile suit today. I will focus on the 800m for the future, it's my main event, being an Olympic distance also."
