Ekaterina Seliverstova of Russia won the women's 5km open water race at the European championships in Hungary

BUDAPEST – Ekaterina Seliverstova of Russia won the women's 5km open water race at the European championships Wednesday.

Seliverstova, 26, who also won this event in 2006 Europeans here Hungary, finished the course of Balaton lake in 1h02:34.7.

Kalliopi Araouzou of Greece finished second and compatriot Marianna Lymperta touched third 4 second behind.
