ROBERVAL – Australian former world champion Melissa Gorman won an appeal against a decision to disqualify her from the women's 10km race.

The FINA Jury of Appeal decided to reinstate Melissa Gorman and suspend France’s Aurelie Muller.

Following this decision, Gorman has been reistated to 3rd place while China’s Fang Yanqiao went down to 4th.
