Germany took home five medals Saturday at the European Junior Championships in Helsinki and takes the lead in the medal standings with 6 golds

HELSINKI – Germany took home five medals Saturday at the European Junior Championships in Helsinki, Finland.

German team member Silke Lippok won gold in the 200 freestyle in 2:00.11 and with the 4x200m relay [1:59.85].

Other medals came from Lippok, silver in the 50m freestyle and the men’s 50m backstroke with Christian Diener and Philipp Wolf, gold and bronze respectively, to take their overall medals tally to nine, six of them gold.
