As result of the defections in Puerto Rico the Cuban age group team of 19 swimmers due to compete in Barbados July 12th -17th at the 12th Caribbean Islands Swimming Championships has been cut to 9. Approx 520 Swimmers , Waterpolo & Syncro athletes from 15 countries are due to compete at CISC. Countries competing are Aruba, Bahamas, Bermuda, Cuba, Dominica Republic, Grenada, Guadaloupe,Jamaica,St. Lucia, Netherlands Antilles, Puerto Rico,Suriname, Trinidad & Tobago, US Virgin Islands and the hosts Barbados. Swimmers will compete in 11-12, 13-14, 15-17 & 18 -21 under the auspices of CCAN. The President of FINA Mustapha Larfouai will attend the opening July 12th.
